Risk Factors include:
- Tattoos or skin piercings
- Recipients of organs, tissues, blood or blood products before February 1990 (in Australia)
- Previous incarceration
- History of injecting drug use
- Born in a country with a high rate of Hep C (eq: Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean or Africa)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
- Sexual partner of someone with Hep C
- Occupational exposure (eq. healthcare workers)
